beer and peanuts and
an empty stomach
drunk and the
Yankees took two out of three from
the Orioles in Baltimore and
everyday for the last
week I've fallen in
love
over and over again
with the girl
that orders a small Americano and an extra shot

she used to order
salads from Giovanni's
and
every time
she got one, I
would ask if I could
eat the olives.

"sure, I'm not in the mood for olives
today," she would say.
(she said that almost every time.)

tonight,
I had a can of olives for dinner.
